Drew Barrymore is featured on the cover of the February 2012 issue of “InStyle” magazine!

On her wish that she lessen the pace of life:
“I would love to slow things down a bit. We’re living in a time when we have such expectations of immediacy. Everything is instantaneous, everything’s out there.”

On time with her fiancé Will Kopelman:
“It’s just the best! We go on group trips and spend holidays together – there’s a lot of love! And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows. It’s funny, when I was younger, I used to say I’d hate a flat line – that I want the ups and the downs, the roller coaster. But I’m actually really enjoying the flat line.”

On her old-school ways:
“I’m an old-school gal. I love to play with hair and makeup and clothes.”

On her philosophy when it comes to life:
“Happiness is a choice. You have to choose it – and you have to fight for it.”

“Scream 4″ is cover of current EW magazine, that will hit stands next April 15th. It’s a 8 pages featuring all you need to know about Scream 4, and remembering the very first Scream. It’s a 2 pages featuring interviews with the very original cast, plus Kevin Williams, Wes Craven, producer Bob Weinstein and Drew Barrymore.

Originally pegged to play Sidney, Drew opted instead for the now-iconic opening sequence victim, Casey Becker, who’s disemboweled and hanged from a tree withing the first 15 minutes. (…)
Wes and I made this agreement: ‘I never want fake tears, I will come up with a mechanism to really make me cry. I will run around until I’m hyperventilating’

Scans of “Remembering the first Scream” was added to our gallery. But if you’re curious to read the article, you can find the whole set scanned in our partner site Neve Campbell Online. Enjoy!

Drew On The Cover Of Harper Bazaar

Drew Barrymore is sitting on the floor at a friend’s house in the Hollywood Hills, wearing gray sweats and long black-and-white-striped socks, and patting her dog, Douglas Fairbanks Barrymore (a rescue mutt with a Hollywood pedigree). She spent a long day yesterday swanning about in couture for these pages, inspired by ’60s It girls Sharon Tate and Veruschka. The concept was Drew’s idea, and there is no doubt that had she been of age in the ’60s, she would have been swinging. “Ah,” she says, smiling, “my favorite fashion era.” It seems an injustice that Drew was never in an Austin Powers film, when you think about it. She’d put the femme in fembot.

Sucking down a giant iced tea, Drew is working up inspiration with a vintage ’60s Playboy. (She collects them, and not for the articles.) This issue features a brunette nymphet sporting wide red knickers and a tan line for the record books. “Isn’t that the sexiest thing?” she asks in that uncynical Drewish way that makes you instantly nod.

Even though she’s in sweats, Drew looks pretty dreamy. She is lightly tanned from a solo trip to India, and her bone structure has popped. “I feel like some of my baby fat is going away,” she observes, “and that’s not just physically, it’s psychologically. I think that your body is in tune with your mind and your spirituality and your heart. If things are going better, I just think you look better.”

Things must be going swimmingly in Barrymoreland. But after being famous for 28 years, she’s done more interviews than Ashton Kutcher has tweeted. “I know!” she says, a wicked glint in her eye. “Let’s do the eHarmony questionnaire.”

So we Google and find something eHarmony-ish. It’s not Playboy, but in so many ways, it’s the mirror of our times. Where else can you fall in love “for all the right reasons”? Drew smiles like Gertie seeing E.T. for the first time.

Describe yourself: warm, clever, dominant, ambitious, outgoing, agreeable, modest, submissive, lazy, introverted, aloof, quarrelsome, cold, gregarious, arrogant.

Drew Barrymore: “Not ambitious, arrogant, or cold. Lazy? No, I’m not lazy enough. Dominant—more so than people would think. I’m a total control freak and love to participate in the design of every single aspect of life.”

Magazine Alert : Marie Claire UK September 2010!

Drew has graced Marie Claire UK September issue magazine cover, and she is looking radiant. I think this one is my favorite ;) To view the cover and the photoshoot images, click on the picture to the left.

Sexy, super-stylish and seriously talented – could our September cover star Drew Barrymore be any more perfect? We caught up with Hollywood’s bohemian darling for a revealingly honest, no-holds-barred chat, about romance, relationships and her oh-so-amazing career.

‘It was never a grand plan,’ says the unlikely Hollywood heavyweight – who has notched up an amazing career as an actress, started her own production company and now turned her hand to directing – of her epic achievements.

‘I just have all these things I want to do – things that beautifully and vividly encompass me – but I never sat down and worked it out’.

On her love life, Drew remains decidedly coy. She’ll neither confirm nor deny whether she and on/off boyfriend Justin Long are dating – ‘a little mystery never hurt anyone,’ – but she talks like a single woman looking for answers. ‘I’m happy to say that, at 35 years old, I feel I know less than ever,’ she told us with a smile.

But she does, however, maintain that technology has ruined romance. ‘I just don’t like this compulsive, instantaneous, over-information, lack-of-privacy, weirdo aspect of the world,’ she revealed.

‘If you meet someone they already know everything. What about showing up on a date and saying, ‘What do you do for a living? Who are your friends?’

Above everything, Drew says that she just wants to be present and to really understand what makes her happy. ‘I have absolutely nothing to complain about,’ she says.

‘I’m always trying to educate myself about the world or do philanthropic things or drop everything if someone I care about needs me. Do I always manage to get the balance right? Fuck no, but I’m trying.’

Magazine Alert : Nylon August 2010

Drew is on the cover of the August edition of Nylon, and I have got to say, she looks amazing! To view the cover and photo shoot images, click on the cover to the left. I will be adding scans as soon as I can get my scanner to work. For now, enjoy this article!

Drew Barrymore is everyone’s golden girl, and not just because of her amazing blonde hair. The actress and producer made a string of movies we can watch on 24-hour repeat (Never Been Kissed, Whip It, Grey Gardens…), and she still has time to star in the Cover Girl commercials.

Our beauty director, Holly Siegel, sat down with Drew in Los Angeles…

On Being Perfect
“You have to not pretend to be perfect, because that’s not only boring as fuck, but it’s just not real…So I feel so liberated in that way. I just really want to be true to myself. That’s essential in life. I would never be able to put on a charade. I would totally fuck it up.”

On her In-Between Period
“I had a big gap in my life where I wasn’t allowed to work at all because no one would hire me, which was great because I think you need that humility. You have to have everything taken away, or you have to have a major reality check, so that you always appreciate what you have.”

On Simulating Phone Sex in her New Movie, Going the Distance.
“You know, phone sex going awry is just a funny concept to me and I thought, This is going to be one of those scenes where we have to go balls out, and if it doesn’t work, it’s going to be editing room floor crap.”

So Drew, where’d you get your jeans?
“I never have time for shopping… I’ve been wearing the same fucking pair of jeans for 10 years.”

Cover Alert : US Elle August 2010

Categories: Magazine Alert!

I want to apologize first with my long absence from the site. I just got back from being in Europe for a month, and didn’t have much time to get online! Luckily there was not much news that we missed out on though! I do have some good news for you today. Drew is Elle’s cover girl for August! I personally love this photoshoot, Drew looks stunning. Scans will be added from the magazine soon, but here is a sneak peak of the article thanks to Elle.com:

On taking stock of where she is now: “For three years straight, I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, and as of last December, I just didn’t have anything left. I’ve been so aggressive about living life to the fullest and being plugged into everything, but now I’ve ripped the plug out of the wall and put it on the floor for a while. I’m thinking about the same things as when I was 15, about spirituality and who I am, who I want to be. It’s cocoon, pupa, larva, and fuck, I’m reborn!”

On the media’s misconceptions of her: “I make movies. I have a passion. Puppies and daisies don’t accomplish anything. That’s not me at all.”

On being single: “If you’re 35 and single and it’s a choice, it feels fine. So I didn’t settle with the wrong person yet. Big deal!”

On her upcoming role in Going the Distance: “I like that it’s not a traditional romantic comedy, with the story line of, ‘Oh, I slept with this guy, but when I woke up, I found out he’s the CEO of my company, and we’re going to live happily ever after once we go through all these crazy perils. I talk shit with my girlfriends. And it can get dirty.”

On why she’s not afraid to get older: “I don’t want to be vain or fearful, and I don’t think I’ll do anything [in terms of plastic surgery], but if I want to do something, I will. From my perspective, there’s no reason to be afraid of aging, because if you age, you’re lucky! The alternative is death.”

On child stardom: “I was raised in unique and trying environments, but they were also amazing platforms for me to have an extraordinary life. Going through hell as a kid made me sensitive to what others in this world go through too.”
