Hollywood star Drew Barrymore is playing hit-maker for upcoming indie band The Boxer Rebellion, by featuring them in her new film, Going the Distance. Our spy says: “Drew persuaded producers to get them a part as themselves. It’s blatant band placement – and should launch them into the big time.” Nice.

Drew's involvement with WFP began when documented by Marie Claire as part of their “World Hunger Campaign”. She became World Food Programme Ambassador Against Hunger in 2007 and has traveled twice to Kenya on missions since becoming an Ambassador.
